4 basic heating modes available on the device

• Comfort Mode: the heater warms and maintains the selected set temperature for a pleasant and cozy environment. Ideal for times when you are home, such as mornings and evenings.
• ECO Mode: lowers the temperature by 3.5°C below the set temperature, reducing energy consumption without sacrificing comfort. Designed to save energy during the day or night when rooms are not in use.
• Anti-freeze Mode: essential in cold regions to prevent pipe freezing. It maintains a stable temperature of 7°C, protecting installations during long winter absences. Recommended for secondary homes or extended vacations.
• Off Mode: puts the heater on standby, ideal for extended vacations or when heating is not needed, such as in summer. In this mode, the heater is completely inactive, allowing significant energy savings.

5 modes available on the app

By pairing this pilot wire thermostat with Silumen Home via a Zigbee gateway, you gain access to the following features:

• Programming Mode: allows you to set a personalized schedule every 30 minutes, offering up to 48 programs per day, 7 days a week. This feature adapts heating to your household’s lifestyle, ensuring comfort and energy savings.
• Vacation Mode: activated during your extended absences, it maintains a constant temperature of 7°C (Anti-freeze mode) throughout the defined period. At the end of this period, the system automatically returns to Comfort mode, ensuring a pleasant return home.
• Manual Mode: manual mode allows precise temperature control by turning the heater on or off based on the ambient temperature compared to the set temperature. To use this mode, set the heater to Comfort mode and adjust the temperature to the recommended maximum value of 35°C.
• Boost Mode: this mode forces the heater into Comfort mode for a set duration (30 minutes to 2 hours). Boost mode is especially useful for quickly warming a room after an absence. It can only be activated from Vacation and Programming modes and automatically returns to the previous mode once the period ends.
• Thermostat Mode: in thermostat mode, the system automatically adjusts the temperature to the target value set by the user. To activate this mode, set the heater to Comfort mode and define the temperature at the maximum value (35°C recommended). This allows precise and constant regulation of the ambient temperature, improving comfort and energy efficiency.

How to install the thermostat?

Installing the pilot wire thermostat is relatively simple. After cutting the power, you need to disconnect the wires of your electric heater from the power supply to connect them to the pilot wire thermostat. The thermostat wires then replace the heater wires to connect to the power supply. Once the wiring is complete, simply pair your pilot wire module with a Zigbee gateway previously installed on Silumen Home. You can then enjoy all its features. The manual included in the box contains detailed instructions on the different modes and thermostat installation.

Note: In case of internet outage, the heating continues to operate with the schedules already set on the Tuya or Silumen Home app, including weekly programming and temperature settings. All operating parameters are saved locally in the device’s memory and, when not connected to the network, they function according to the previously established settings (2MB FLASH memory and 256KB RAM).

Our product also features a LAN mode. When the network router cannot connect to the Internet, but the mobile phone and RP5 are on the same LAN, we can still control the RP5 locally via the mobile app using WLAN, that is, the local wireless network.
