5M 24V IP20 320LED/m Red COB LED Strip

Designed for installers who need to create a uniform red line in a cornice, cove, or profile, this 5-meter reel features 320 chips per meter under a diffusing resin coating. The result is a continuous line, with no visible dots, even from less than 30 cm away from the illuminated surface.

Features

Red light is emitted directly by the chip, with no filter: no color shift over time or loss of efficacy due to filtering. The strip supports dimming with a 24V PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) dimmer, which rapidly switches the current and is compatible with the usual control modules in commercial electrical panels.

Operation at safety extra-low voltage (SELV) means no special measures are required to protect against direct contact on the 24V side, as protection is provided upstream of the transformer.

Installation

Isolate the circuit before working on it. Size the transformer for 1.2 times the installed power, or at least 48 W for a full reel. Beyond 5 meters powered from a single point, voltage drop at the end of the line becomes noticeable: use a two-ended feed or star wiring from the power supply, with a conductor cross-section suited to the connection length.

Install on a clean, degreased surface using the integrated adhesive, or in an aluminum profile when heat dissipation and long-term mechanical stability are required. Cut only at the marked points, every 5 cm.

Where can you use this LED strip?

Control rooms and monitoring stations, where red lighting preserves operators' night vision, technical route marking, retail displays, bar coves, or event spaces. For damp locations or outdoor use, direct the specifier to an IP65 or IP67 option.
