BBC Fire-Rated Recessed Downlight 6W CCT Dimmable IP65, Black Bezel

6 W LED downlight with integrated driver, designed for ceilings where fire resistance, airtightness and insulation coverage are required: timber-frame homes, converted attics, separating floors in apartment buildings, and BBC buildings. Color temperature adjustable on site, TRIAC dimming, IP65 front face for damp rooms. Black bezel, specified for dark ceilings and retail interiors with a bold graphic style.

Technical details

6 W, 220-240 V AC, luminous flux of 600 lm at 4000 K and 540 lm at 3000 K and 6500 K (efficiency up to 100 lm/W), CRI Ra 80, 60° beam angle, power factor greater than 0.7. Dimensions ø 86 × 46 mm, ceiling cutout ø 53 to 70 mm. Steel and polycarbonate body, black ABS bezel. IP65 protection on the front face, IP5X on the ceiling side. Connection via 2 × 0.75 mm² cable. CE marking, 3-year warranty.

Features

Three-position CCT selector (3000 / 4000 / 6500 K), accessible before installation, making it possible to standardize a batch on site without managing three product references. Flicker-free DOB driver (Driver On Board: conversion electronics mounted directly on the LED board), compatible with TRIAC trailing-edge dimmers. The luminaire can be covered with insulation and is fire-rated: 30 and 90 minutes on I-joists, 30, 60 and 90 minutes on solid timber joists, and 30 minutes on metal-web joists.

BBC (Low-Energy Building) downlight: enclosed housing at the rear, IP5X rating on the ceiling side. The luminaire is airtight and creates no leakage through the cutout, preserving the continuity of the ceiling's airtightness barrier, which is checked during air leakage tests.

Installation

Cutout ø 53 to 70 mm, direct connection to 230 V in a junction box or terminal block, no remote power supply required. Select the color temperature, then install using the retaining springs. The wide cutout range accommodates existing holes in renovation projects. In damp areas, comply with the zones specified in NF C 15-100: the IP65 front face allows installation in zones 2 and outside the zones, but not above a bathtub or in a shower.

Professional applications

Apartment buildings and individual timber-frame homes (fire-rated floors), new or renovated BBC homes under insulated attics, hotel and residential bathrooms, offices, hallways and corridors, and local shops. One adjustable color temperature model for all the ceilings in a project.
