220V 12V IP67 36W DC 3A Transformer

A 12V strip installed outdoors, under a facade or along a pathway, needs a power supply that can withstand dust and water. This converter steps down the 220-240V mains supply to regulated 12V DC, up to 3 A, in a fully resin-sealed housing.

Installation

Calculate the load before wiring: add up the strip's power consumption per meter, multiply by its length, and allow a 20 percent margin. At 36W, this gives around 3 meters of 9.6 W/m strip with the margin, or 6 5W spotlights connected in parallel. With the power off, connect the mains on one side and the 12V output on the other, observing polarity. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Patio, pathway, outdoor staircase, damp room, commercial kitchen, display window: anywhere the power supply cannot be housed in a dry enclosure. It is also suitable for indoor use when compact size matters more than price.
