Single-Button Wireless Wall Switch

During a renovation, adding a control point often means cutting into the wall, filling it in, and repainting. This single-button radio transmitter eliminates that step: it sends the command to a 220V 10A receiver module (sold separately) installed downstream, in the flush-mounting box or as close as possible to the light fixture. No changes to the existing circuit and no extra wires to run through the conduits.

Features

The button controls a single channel, paired with the receiver module by code. The transmitter remains electrically passive: it is neither connected to the mains nor grounded, so it falls outside the wiring requirements of NF C 15-100 that apply to flush-mounted electrical equipment. All live components are contained in the receiver, which is wired in accordance with accepted practice. The 433.92 MHz ASK radio link works well through typical drywall partitions and concrete floors. Multiple transmitters can share the same code to create a wireless two-way switch.

Installation

Receiver not included: allow for one compatible 220V 10A 433 MHz module per controlled circuit. Isolate the circuit at the electrical panel, connect the module upstream of the load (live, neutral, load output), restore power, then start pairing using the coding button. The faceplate can then be fixed with double-sided adhesive to a smooth surface — tile, glass, or wall paneling — or screwed onto an existing 60 mm box. Allow a few minutes per control point.
