Questions & answers3

Our technical team answers our customers' questions.

Can the COB LED strip 220V be cut to specific lengths?

This strip can be cut every 15 cm. The available lengths are therefore multiples of 15 cm; for example, for approximately 11.24 m, you will need to choose between 11.15 m or 11.30 m.

Answer from the Silumen technical team · 27/10/2026

Is an aluminium profile required to install this COB LED strip 220V on a cornice, or is the integrated double-sided tape sufficient?

The integrated double-sided adhesive is suitable for a cornice, but the use of an aluminium profile is recommended for better heat dissipation and a neater finish.

Answer from the Silumen technical team · 27/10/2026

Can this strip be used outdoors?

Thanks to its IP65 protection rating, this strip is resistant to dust and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor use. However, ensure that the connections are protected by an insulating element against moisture, as indicated in the installation instructions.
