On a white ceiling, the quality of a recessed track is judged by its connectors. This straight joint keeps the two modules aligned and carries the current, so the completed installation looks like a single continuous track from one end of the room to the other.

Installation

With the power off, insert the joint fully into the installed module, then position the next module, following the alignment markings. On a light-colored finish, check that both tracks are flush: even a slight offset is visible in grazing light and difficult to correct once the ceiling is closed.
